Mike and family arrived on Whidbey Island in 1874. He has a thorough comprehension of Whidbey Island’s history and an extensive knowledge about many of the founding families of the island. Mike was an Island County Cemetery Commissioner until 1997 when he relinquished the position to become the Caretaker of Maple Leaf Cemetery. Due to his compassion to our clients, commitment to the cemetery, and his knowledge of Whidbey Island he has proven to be an excellent asset to our staff.
Our Bookkeeper is Janet Olson. Janet has her own bookkeeping business on Whidbey Island that she started in 1997. She loves living here and is a great help to the cemetery.

Howard has lived on Whidbey Island for 15 years and has worked at the cemetery as groundskeeper since 2014. He is also very talented at keeping the equipment running. He and Mike make a great team.
